A powerful earthquake occurred in Taiwan early Wednesday morning, shaking the entire island. Japan has come into alert mode after the strong earthquake in Taiwan. Japan issued a tsunami alert in its southern island group Okinawa. According to Japanese media, the first wave of tsunami hit the two southern islands. A tsunami wave of about 1 foot hit Yonaguni Island 15 minutes after the earthquake.
