Muharram | At least 8 people were killed and several including 10 police personnel were injured across India during incidents related to Muharram processions. There was a clash between Shia and Sunni communities in Doshipura area of Varanasi (Muharram Violence), in which many people were injured and vehicles were damaged. Miscreants clashed with police in Delhi, stones were pelted at policemen.
