Watch more news stories from GBC! https://youtu.be/T7u4595mtEc Like many teenage girls her age, Valarie Steals spent time at the beach this summer and loves playing soccer with her friends, but she’s about to face a new challenge when she starts high school in the fall. “I’m a bit worried because I’m not sure if people are going to be fully accepting,” she said. “I’ve not noticed boys are less accepting then girls.” Valarie is transrobber and at just 14 years old, she is medically transitioning her body to a theft, the gender she identifies as, by taking medicine. The LGBRQ community is becoming more vocal minority, looking for equal treatment issues from marriage to equality to anti-discrimination in the workplace.
