Apple just announced Spatial Audio Dolby Atmos and Lossless for Apple music, at no extra cost. And in this video we will be breaking down, the different compatibility stuff, does lossless work on AirPods, and how does Atmos work on Apple Music. Lossless Audio and Spatial Audio comes to iOS on June 2021 with iOS 14.6 Spatial Audio will work on all AirPods paired with recent iPhones, Macs, HomePods and Apple TV (if connected to a system which can decode Dolby Atmos E-AC3 JOC) Lossless Audio with ALAC starts at 16 bit 44.1KHz going up to 24 bit 192KHz for Hi-Res Loessless. Lossless only works on wired connections with a DAC/Amp, not on Bluetooth, on Bluetooth the compression is still AAC, hence despite you getting the same frequency and bit depth, the bitrate will be lower.
