Motion of Satellite 2. Kepler's Law 3. Escape Velocity In physics (specifically, celestial mechanics), escape velocity is the minimum speed needed for a free, non-propelled object to escape from the gravitational influence of a massive body, that is, to eventually reach an infinite distance from it. What Is Escape Velocity? Escape velocity, as it applies to rocket science and space travel, is the velocity required for an object (such as a rocket) to escape the gravitational orbit of a celestial body (such as a planet or a star). Escape velocity is the speed required to escape gravity in the absence of any force being applied. ... So yes, of course it is possible to keep going upwards and further from the earth, but without reaching escape velocity you would eventually be pulled back to earth when the fuel runs out. Kepler's laws apply: First Law: Planetary orbits are elliptical with the sun at a focus. Second Law: The radius vector from the sun to a planet sweeps equal areas in equal times. Third Law: The ratio of the square of the period of revolution and the cube of the ellipse semimajor axis is the same for all planets. There are actually three, Kepler's laws that is, of planetary motion: 1) every planet's orbit is an ellipse with the Sun at a focus; 2) a line joining the Sun and a planet sweeps out equal areas in equal times; 3) the square of a planet's orbital period is proportional to the cube of the semi-major axis of its FREE KITES APPLICATION: https://bit.ly/kekites-promo For ADMISSION in One Year Coaching, Call:- 96-5888-5888 To get the latest updates about exams & much more, do follow our social media channels : YouTube - https://bit.ly/2PDhpPn Twitter - https://bit.ly/3m5aQnQ Facebook - https://bit.ly/2FcikVb Instagram - https://bit.ly/3h7aPfb Telegram Link - https://t.me/kelvin9to12 Don't forget to share, like & Subscribe...!
