KH990j's video: Starting the engine with the brake pedal on a 7 3 IDI

@Starting the engine with the brake pedal on a 7.3 IDI!
While making various modifications to the truck (1991 F250 with 7.3 IDI and ZF-5 manual transmission)one thing we did was bypass the neutral safety switch as it had been a pain to start the truck. A new one cost $42. The connector that plugs into the switch has to be hot wired so the computer is tricked into thinking that the clutch pedal is depressed, but this is what happens when you wire it the wrong way. Very strange as we didn't even touch anything on the brake pedal (this truck has a lot of weird things that are hooked up to each other such as the brake lights with the rear antilock brake system). The problem was corrected and now the truck starts properly without the brake pedal getting involved. One theory could be is that manufacturers love to throw the same wiring system into all trim models of the same vehicle, to save money. What we probably triggered could have been a brake interlock switch wiring setup that's suppose to be on an automatic model (of course I don't know if Ford even had brake interlock on their trucks at this time) but is also present here on this manual. The wires could have "backfired".
