Devan Vedhamum kannan Geethaiyum oru padalil yingu sangamam Jegajothy Pictures - Rajanagam Lyrics - Vaali Music - V.Kumar Rajanaagam (25.7.1974/ Jegajyothi Pictures) was produced and directed by N.S.Maniam, who also penned the dialogues. Srikanth bagged the coveted role of the social misfit Krishnamoorthi. Manjula played the tragic Alamelu and Shubha became Margaret once again. Major Sundararajan was well cast as the old schoolmaster. M.N.Rajam and Thengai Srinivasan were other memorable cameos. And with Maniam calling the shots, quite naturally the music was composed by his friend V.Kumar. VK set to work with Vaali and as always the album that emerged from their collaboration had some magical, immortal songs. Irrespective of commercial success, the story had been blessed with alluring albums in all the languages it was told. And VK following in the line of stalwarts like Vijayabhaskar, Pendyala and R.D.Burman, proved his prowess in embellishing the tale with an appositely appealing score.
