KMPH FOX26 NEWS's video: Sony Fresno County Sheriff K-9 dies

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office announced today that K-9 Officer Sony passed away Tuesday Morning. They say that the nine-year-old German shepherd became sick while at work and was taken to Sierra View Animal Hospital. The veterinarians there discovered that Sony had "an unsuspected medical condition." He passed away around 2:00 P.M. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office had this today about Sony. "Sony was a senior K-9 and valuable part of the Sheriff's Office during his time in service. He specialized in searching buildings and locating missing people. He was also a regular visitor to local schools. Sony was a great friend and partner who will be truly missed within the department and throughout the community." Thank you keeping us safe Sony.
