Asap kecokelatan cerobong PLTU Tidore di Kelurahan Rum Balibunga, Kecamatan Kota Tidore Utara, Maluku Utara. Cerobong itu kalah tinggi dengan bukit di sebelahnya. Asap yang disertai embusan angin seakan tak mampu menjangkau, melewati bukit tersebut. Belakangan ini, warga Kelurahan Rum Balibunga mengaku terganggu dengan aktivitas pembongkaran dan pengolahan batubara PLTU. Hampir setiap hari, rumah-rumah warga di lingkungan RT 04, RT 05, dan RW 02, nyaris dipenuhi abu residu batubara PLTU
