@Oldest Known Moving Images of China in Kodacolor - 1929
This film probably contains the oldest known moving images of China in full Kodacolor (filmed between October 15-20, 1929). The images were taken by passenger Dr. Ormond Wall of Hawaii using Kodak's unique Kodacolor lenticular film system while aboard Matson Navigation's "SS Malolo" during the ship's epic, 90-day, 24,000 mile journey around the Pacific... more commonly known today as "The Millionaires Cruise of 1929" (for more information on the cruise, see: https://www.ssmalolo.com) Ormond Wall was a dentist in Honolulu and the patent holder for the automated windshield wiper system for automobiles. The added income generated allowed him to construct a large summer home along the windward side of Oahu during the height of the Depression.. Locals knew it as "Pahonu", although most Ameriicans knew it best at "Robin's Nest" on the television series "Magnum P.I." starring Tom Selleck.
