We might have a new best national final this season. Serbia's song selection was excellent, with each of my top nine being particularly excellent and deserving of consideration for the win. Besides that, the production and the staging was top-notch. Everything looked professional and Eurovision-ready. After all that, of course, Serbia ended up picking a bit of a surprise winner. I think it's a brave choice. Usually, even when they have a brilliant song (most years), they still end up getting a 15th-20th position finish in the Eurovision final...so shaking it up here with something that got a bit of hype, might be just what was needed.
