Kale Project's video: Belgium ESC Selection Eurosong 2023 Top 7 With Comments After Show

The unexpected national final from Belgium was a bit of a strange one. The two song format and one of the songs going to the final could've been a disaster (hello, Israel!) but, no major mistakes were made when it came to the song choices...so that was good. But yeah, that winner was unexpected. The televoters went for what was clearly the worst song, and went for it hard (maybe because of who was singing it, I don't know?) and that completely opened the door for the results to split and go WEIRD. I do NOT think this is the disaster that some people are saying it is. "Because Of You" can get some support in May. It's not going to be the comfortable qualification that either of my top two would've been (and the possible top ten that my no.1 could've gotten) but, I think Belgium might be ok! For this video, I only included the songs included in the actual final on Saturday and not the discarded songs. This is because the actual live performances were, on the whole, exceptionally good and elevated these songs. I'll separately rate the other songs later on in the Eurovision season for NF ranking videos etc. Hope you enjoy my comments/ranking and let me know what you think below!
