Kale Project's video: Portugal ESC Selection Festival Da Can o 2023 Top 20 With Comments After Show

Lots of thoughts on this one going into the final. First of all, probably the best selection of songs from any national final again. My top three here were all rated 9.0+ and that almost never happens. Such quality. Of course, that tells half the story as one of them has already been eliminated, as has my fourth place! Not many times will you have so many strong songs in one semi final (SF2 here) and the weaker ones mostly in the other. To top it off, due to a televoting issue, we got SEVEN qualifiers from the first semi to only five from the second. So, the final itself is not a true reflection of how good a selection this was! On the positive side, really see Portugal with two great options to get themselves a proper Eurovision result. I think Barbara is the strong favourite but, Portugal can go off in a different direction when they want to, so here's hoping that my no.1 can pull off the upset, though, I'd be happy with either!
