Kale Project's video: Ukraine ESC Selection Vidbir 2023 Top 10 With Comments After Show

The first national final of the season and I finally got around to watching all of the performances! As expected, a lot of the non-stand out songs got a bit better because Ukraine are always good at the live performances and the staging. Even in the makeshift studio, some of these acts looked amazing. As for the results, I'm a bit confused by the winner. It wasn't really on my radar before the show as a potential winner and even though it was staged exceptionally well, I'm just not seeing it. As the Eurovision "host", you get almost a free pass to show off something a bit more artistic or cultural without worrying about qualifying, yet...Ukraine always seem to go in the opposite direction. I don't get it. Enjoyed the show though! I did give ratings to each song but am not going to reveal them on my aftershows as it would give too much away from my end of season national final videos. You're just going to have to wait!
