Major General Vikram Dev Dogra, AVSM served in the Indian Army for over 37 years. Recipient of the Sword of Honour and Presidents Gold Medal at the IMA. He commanded The Poona Horse, 180 Armoured Brigade on the western front and an infantry division part of a strike corps. He gained combat experience in J&K and as Military Observer in Angola (Africa) where he oversaw cessation of hostilities as part of UN peace keeping forces. He leads by personal example and completed Ironman Austria at the age of 58 in 14 hours and 20 minutes on 01 July 2018 to become the first Serving Indian Army officer and the only general in the world to do so. Not one to rest on his laurels he once again participated in Ironman Germany and bettered his own time by 40 mins finishing in 13 hours 40 mins. A motivational, TEDx and leadership speaker who uses examples from military history and his personal experience gained in command of troops and assignments in India and abroad.
