READ THE CAPTION ⬇️⬇️⬇️ If you are offended by this, you are part of the problem... I grew up a devoted , but after moving to America, I experienced some interesting versions of Christianity. It felt like certain actions, like raising your hands in church or speaking in tongues, seemed to earn points towards being considered a "good Christian." Bonus points if you pass out after the preacher prays for you! Super spiritual! I played drums for several worship teams during college, and experienced ALL KINDS of crazy things. Initially, I tried to embrace the culture, hoping it would align with my beliefs. Yet, the more I prayed and studied my Bible, the more uncomfortable I became with this . I channeled my feelings of anger, hurt, and bitterness towards these people into a song, hoping to connect with others who have experienced similar frustrations. I want to say: this isn't representative of the entire Church. Even if you've encountered manipulation and control, I hope you don't lose faith in . Go after Him, not the "preacher-gods", and don't let manipulation keep you from your faith.
