I couldn't believe it, but I realised last week that there are barely ANY edits in the Voltron fandom for female couples not including gender bends (one for Acxa/Ezor, and a few with Pidge that I'm a bit ehhh about). They all involve Lance and/or Keith, and edits of Allura without men somehow being involved are kind of rare. As a wlw I decided this was unacceptable and kind of concerning! 2. Acxa is awesome?! Just as awesome as Allura?? Why are people sleeping on this crack ship, it doesn't even have a name! We know far more about Acxa than the other generals, and since Allura hasn't shown any romantic leanings in canon, I figured I might as well explore this idea! If people can ship Lotor and Allura they can get behind Acxa and Allura, end of story. Acxa had her own motivations for following Lotor, and she clearly has a code of honor judging by the weblum episode when she helped Keith to safety. Allura has also come a long way since S1; I want to see her with someone who is strong and capable, and that she expresses romantic interest in herself. 3. Honestly? I kind of hate my editing right now. I had SO much inspiration in 2015, but recently I find my style bland and I've come to hate it. So other than MEPs I think I need to take a bit of a break from Klance, maybe explore some live action again, and rediscover my groove.
