I identify really strongly with the feeling of wanting to stop gay thoughts, to stick with dating those of the opposite sex in order to "stay normal" and please those around me. So I wanted to make a video about Lance realising that he liked Keith, but not wanting to like him because he'd grown up only dating girls. That's why I picked a song with the lyrics "and I found love where it wasn't supposed to be". Trying to pretend you'll only ever be straight gets hard when you fall in love. Biphobia is still extremely prevalent in both the straight and LGBT communities, with a lot of people constantly being told to "pick a team", and so the idea that Lance could defy all these stereotypes is my dearest wish.
