Karen Rankin's video: Rhinos Painting an Endangered Specie

@Rhinos, Painting an Endangered Specie
This is an oil painting of a group of Rhinos I encountered on location in the Edeni Private Game Reserve in South Africa. The White Rhino is an endangered specie. Rhinos are disappearing! Ivory poachers and loss of habitat continue to take their toll. "The white rhino recovered from near extinction with numbers as low as 50 – 100 left in the wild in the early 1900’s, this sub-species of rhino has now increased to between 17,212 and 18,915, with the vast majority living in a single country, South Africa. The Northern white rhino, however, has only two females left, after the last male, Sudan, died in March 2018." https://www.savetherhino.org/ This painting commemorates their plight. This oil painting is on a 12x16 Ampersand panel using Winsor Newton Alkyd oils and Michael James Smith signature brushes.
