This is a step by Step Oil portrait of a wonderful Shih Tzu named Morgan. This was done in one sitting (Alla Prima) on a 12 x 12 canvas. I used Winsor Newton Artist Oils and Rosemary and Co brushes. My oil pallet for this little painting included Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Umber, Quinacridone Magenta, Yellow Oxide, and Titanium White. The canvas was tinted with acrylic Burnt Sienna. The Shih Tzu, meaning Little Lion, originated in Tibet and China and was kept by royal Chinese families during the Ming Dynasty.
