60 minute complete yoga class with 10 minute Guided Relaxation commencing at the 50 minute mark. This practice is framed by relaxation at both ends to calm the nervous system. The class balances the passivity of relaxation with the activity of the asana practice to release energy blockages, including hip openers, such as Meru Akaranasana; core strengthening Forearm Side Plank; a flow of standing postures consisting of Salute to the Sun, High Lunge, Virabradhasana 3 (Warrior 3), Parsvottanasana (Intense Side Stretch ) and twists, such as Parvritta Trikonasana (Revolved Triangle); restorative Supta Baddha Konasana and Sleeping Tiger Pose; and the backbend Dhanurasana (Bow Pose). This practice is suitable for beginner and experienced yogis.
