Join me in this 60 minute yoga class to reconnect with your natural relaxed self, shed stress and brighten your heart. The practice is breath-focused and includes some meditative repetitions and sequences inspired by the work of Donna Farhi. It is free of vigorous sun salutations and contains just one and a half downward-facing dogs. Despite this, it will achieve the same benefits of improving heart health physically and metaphysically. Some yoga poses that feature in the class include, setu bandhasana (bridge pose), urdhva dhanurasana (upward-facing bow), parighasana (gate pose), sampasana (snake pose), salambasana (locust pose), navasana (boat pose), baddha konasana (bound angle pose), pascimottanasana (pose to the west), sarvangasana (shoulderstand), and many more. Also, the practice is made complete with pranayama and time to be still. Prepare two yoga blocks and a strap to help maintain good alignment and ease in more challenging poses. Level: gentle to moderate
