Karl Johanson's video: Panama Flats Snow and Ice Assessment Dec 20 2022

It's the time of year to check the skating conditions on Panama Flats, Saanich (Victoria), Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada. Numerous people tell me they like checking out my skating condition updates, so they don't drive or walk a fair distance on days when the ice isn't suitable for skating. The snow varied from about 12" (3.5 cm) to about 15 inches (38 cm). It's snowing outside right now (5:00PM December 22) soon after we finished shoveling snow off the driveway and sidewalk and garage roof. Saw a bit more evidence of brontosauruses in the area.
