My expectations are therefore high. Before I was searching to buy a non-slippery yoga mat, I was looking at what my fellow yoga practitioners use. Liforme is one of the most mentioned companies out there, they promise their mat to be all sweat absorbing and holding the good grip all the way through the practice. For years. Many years. ✅ 💵 Although I don't like to spend so much money on things, I have been practicing yoga for 6 years and aim to do so for the rest of my life. Cheap mats get annoying, they fall apart leaving rubber crumbs on the floor, they get slippery when I sweat 💦 (which in an ashtanga practice is unavoidable). The regular size for me is small for certain moves and altogether I realised I don't have the stability in my yoga practice that I wish for in order to take my practice deeper. 🤸🏻‍♀️ If you are an ashtanga practitioner, you know that a non-slippery yoga mat is a game changer and your 6 days a practice/week unfolds with very different results. ❗️ 1 regular mat that holds for about a year for me, already going on my nerves around 6 months because it is crumbling down, costs €22.50. That is an average mat price. When you are a beginner and practice 2 times a week and also you are doing a more gentle practice. That is ok. I not only practice every day, I also teach and I also make yoga videos. I spend hours on my mat on a daily basis. It is like an office for a yoga teacher. 🗓 I see people using this mat for over a decade and although the company does NOT OFFER LIFETIME GUARANTEE, they promise the durability of the mat and the balance between eco-friendliness and quality. As I said I am using my mat a ton, so I think if there is anyone out there testing the durability of this mat, it will be me. I also look after my things, because I understand that the longer something lasts because of good care, the less of an impact my existence has on the environment. I am set up on this journey and I truly ant to give you the best review there is out there, so you can chose whether it is worth for you to pay €180 for a yoga mat or not. I expect at least 10 beautiful years out of this mat. -Yes, I have high expectations and a determined mindset.- IF it lasts that long, the €180 becomes €18/year, which is a good deal for a high quality mat and results in a cheaper price tag than a regular mat that does not serve my practice. So in my eyes that is a REALLY GOOD DEAL, not only for myself, but for the planet too. I hope this review on a Liforme White Magic yoga mat brought you closer to deciding whether it is a mat that you want to invest in or give a shot to any other amazing companies out there. Some people do comparisons between the mats. I am not at that point in my life when I can afford 3-4 mats from the top competitors. I chose this mat because my friends are using it and have got good opinion on it (specially the Liforme customer service). Since then I say Lululemon mats being mentioned with equally good grip and durability and HALF the price. Too late now, and due to lack of funds I can only invest in one mat. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I am also not a collector. I am a minimalist. I need one mat and one mat only that meets my needs, I don't want to stack many mats in my house. I only want to get a new product, when the old one doesn't serve me anymore (aparigraha, one of the yama practices in ashtanga yoga, that means non-hoarding.)
