I chatted with Jilly Stephens, Chief Executive Officer of City Harvest, on Instagram Live. City Harvest is New York City’s largest food rescue which fed more than 1.5 million New Yorkers yearly before the pandemic. Now as the unemployment rate soars because of shutdowns, they will be feeding even more. “The number of New Yorkers who are officially food insecure is about to grow to 1.6 million this year,” Jilly said.
