Keegan Larwin's video: MISTBORN MOVIE TRAILER UNFINISHED

From the vault: Here's a very rough collection of unfinished shots I made for a spec trailer for Mistborn (by Brandon Sanderson) in 2019 and 2020. Details in the thread below: Long story short, in 2018 I was approached by a friend of mine in LA looking to help an unnnamed studio bid on the film/TV rights for Brandon Sanderson's book, Mistborn. She knew I was a fan of the first trilogy (thanks @wren for recommending it to me at NAB forever ago :Crying face:) and, together, we built some key art and started working on a spec trailer for a deck to convince her client that the property would work as a screen adaptation. As all things do in Hollywood, the project was scrapped and so was all of our work. I considered just pushing through and finishing it anyway, as spec projects like this have gotten me lots of IRL work. But... it was the pandemic so not much could be done. Imo, spec work is rarely a waste of time in the end. I learned a lot from this project, even though we didn't finish a single one of these shots. I just had the realization recently that these would never see the light of day, so I might as well post them for giggles.
