Kelley Blue Book's video: 2023 Toyota Prius First Look

@2023 Toyota Prius | First Look
For the latest Toyota Prius pricing and information: https://www.kbb.com/toyota/prius/ Fair Purchase Price: www.kbb.com/car-values/ Have you been on the edge of your seat waiting to see if Toyota’s got a new Prius coming? The wait is over, and the new Prius and Prius Prime are here. Check those out. First let’s dig into the Prius. It looks different, yes. Better? Yes. In my opinion anyway. It looks sportier, a bit more conservative with the head and taillight designs. It gets more of a fast back profile that I think looks great. It’s both lower and wider, giving it a more athletic look. I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of the face, but it might grow on me so give me a minute. But the absolute best part is that split window in the rear is gone. Can I get an AMEN! Okay, Toyota, I’m on board. If you want to trade in your old one, check out the link to KBB in the video description below to get a Fair Purchase Price on it. The Prius will come in LE, XLE and Limited trim levels. The LE comes standard with 17-inch wheels an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, Softex leather seats and six USB ports. The higher up the hybrid foodchain you go you’ll get a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, premium audio system, larger 19-inch wheels, heated seats, etc. There are some great options like heated rear seats and some extra safety features above and beyond Toyota’s next generation Safety Sense 3.0. This 5th generation Prius gets a 2.0L engine coupled to Toyota’s hybrid powertrain. The battery is located under the rear seat and rides on the TNGA-C platform. That should give the Prius a nice center of gravity and decent weight distribution and balance, which should translate to solid driving dynamics. We’ll have to wait and see about those. You’ll get Normal, Sport and Eco modes on the Prius no matter which one you opt for. And you can get AWD as an option if you need the extra grip at all four corners. (194 hp; FWD: 0-60 7.2 seconds/AWD: 0-60 7.0 seconds). Some news I can tell you, you’ll get 57 mpg. When it comes to connectivity, Toyota’s making strides. There’s a voice activated “Hey, Toyota” system that will find points of interest or search for destinations for you. It will also get over the air updates when pushed. The Prius Prime is the new plug-in hybrid version. Same styling, same a lot of things This one gets a solar roof panel to help charge up the battery when it’s parked as well as powers accessories like AC when you’re driving. That’s pretty great. You’ll also get 220 horses, that’s more than John Dutton has on Yellowstone, (graphic: 0-60 6.6 seconds) and an increase in electric range by 50%. That current number is 25 miles so we have to do some math. The Prius Prime comes in the base SE trim, XSE and XSE Premium with many of the standard features lining up the way they do for the standard Prius. Okay, Toyota, you’ve got my attention. It took a while, but the Prius is looking good. More to come so subscribe to the KBB YouTube channel and watch. 00:00 2023 Toyota Prius 0:17 Exterior 1:06 Trim Levels 1:34 Engine 2:13 Fuel Economy 2:30 Prius Prime
