Kevin Rack's video: Nurdles should be treated as a chemical spill

When one comes across a nurdle spill, the beach must be shut immediately. The nurdles are deposited in a small 15cm width band on the high water mark visible to the eye. Nurdles in this state an chemically active and pose great danger to sea and birdlife let alone any chemical leachate. We usually sweep up the nurdles by hand but once the beach is walked they are spread over a larger area and walked into the sand. Due to their colour and size the nurdles disappear from the eye and one must now use shadecloth/nets and spades which is time communing and very inefficient. I contacted the City and as many organisations as possible but it appears we do not have the will nor the understanding of the serious nature of the problem. This is a chemical spill and should be treated as such but we normalized to chemicals and pollution in our environment. I am disappointed in the City and many Environmentalists and NPOs
