General Prayut Chan-o-cha says goodbye to his job as Prime Minister on August 31, 2023. He paid respects to Brahma on the Thai Khu Fa building at Government House. The government officers then gave him red roses in the middle of the hall as a farewell and in front of the Thai Khu Fa building before he left the government house. Gen. Prayut told the government officials, "If anything makes us feel bad or makes you unhappy, please know that it wasn't my intention. Thank you to everyone in the government and to every state organisation. I hope you can keep going smoothly. I only want to leave you with this. If we run into each other outside, please say hi. Many people say they want to take me on a trip, but how can they do that now that everyone knows my face?"
