As part of the promotional tour for the new TV series of the same name, the creative team behind "Rogue" made a strategic stop at SXSW to take advantage of both the interactive and music portions for a series of TV tapings, and a live concert that will later air as a television special. See dates below. The promotion began long before the festival with Kick Kick Snare's Road to Rogue Tour, presented by Aloft Hotels, in which musician Johnny Stimson hosted intimate performances with 10 emerging artists in four cities leading up to SXSW featuring Bright Light Bright Light, Junior Prom, Mikey Wax, Brett, Greta Gains, Alanna Royale, Carousel, Spirit Animal, Cherub and Vinyl Thief!. Stimson made his way through New York, Washington, D.C., and Nashville before reaching the Road to Rogue Party in Austin, where Stimson joined members of the "Rogue" cast for a performance, along with musicians Frank Turner and Josh Doyle in a celebratory finale.
