@Miho Fujiwara - California Crisis (1986) [Full EP, High Quality Upload]
EP (Extended Play): California Crisis Artist(s): Miho Fujiwara (藤原美穂) Release date: July 21, 1986 Label: RCA Genre(s): Funk/Soul, Pop --------------------------------------------------------------------------- California Crisis is an extended play (EP) record by Miho Fujiwara (commonly referred to as Miho) that was released in 1986. This was Miho's first release as a solo artist after the group she was in, Chocolate Lips, released their one and only studio album of the same name in 1984. This EP was most notably the soundtrack for the anime OAV, California Crisis: Gun Salvo (カリフォルニア・クライシス 追撃の銃火, California Crisis: Tsuigeki no Hibana), which had a one-off VHS release distributed by Shochiku-CBS/Fox Video. The entire EP was included as bonus tracks on the 2015 CD reissue of Chocolate Lips, while the EP itself had a recent reissue on vinyl distributed by Sony Music Direct (Japan) Inc. under the Great Tracks label. The audio was remastered by Bernie Grundman for this release. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tracklist: 1. Next Move [0:00] 2. Heartbeat [3:46] 3. Streets Are Hot [8:05] 4. Eyes [11:55] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Links: https://www.discogs.com/Miho-California-Crisis/release/4638982 https://rateyourmusic.com/release/ep/miho/california-crisis/ https://vgmdb.net/album/62433 https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=3306 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbRvp3_zJW8 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ℗ 1986 RVC Corporation; 2018 Ariola Japan © 1986 RCA/RVC Corporation; 2018 Great Tracks/Sony Music Direct (Japan) Inc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: This upload is the highest quality version available, since it replaces an upload that was also ripped from vinyl but in lower quality. I decided against using the tracks found on the Chocolate Lips CD because first, they were heavily brickwalled (meaning they had low dynamic range) to begin with, and second, the vinyl rip came suddenly and I couldn't pass on the opportunity to take it. I've included some scans of the EP (thanks to a friend of mine for providing these a well as the new vinyl rip), as well as some related images. Enjoy! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 君のSTATION (pronounced Kimi-no-Station, or "Your Station") is the showcase for music of the "city pop" genre. Unlike other channels, however, relatively obscure albums, albums currently existing in low quality, and albums that haven't been uploaded in full, will be seen here on this channel.
