@Your Neighborhood with Kimo Quance (EPISODE 4: Woodglen Vista Santee)
Woodglen Vista is a neighborhood located at the most north eastern part of Santee in San Diego, California. It is where many Santee residents are lucky to call home. Cajon Park School and Santana High make great destinations for students on their educational journeys into adulthood. It also has one of the largest parks available in all of Santee! Santee’s City Hall is located off of Woodglen Vista’s mainstreets, North Magnolia Avenue. It really has that feel where it could be its own town if it wanted to because of the plethora of amenities and tightly knit community feel. Let’s see in the year 1980… the video game Pac Man made its debut, and so did the construction of the Woodglen Vista Apartments! The construction resulted in 188 units that encompass 2 stories. Woodglen Vista Apartments offers a great floor plan for residents to call home. The apartments have 1 to 3 bedrooms, and all floor plans offer just 1 bath. However, they also offer on-site parking and rentable storage units if you need the extra space! The facilities also offer a playground for kids, laundry, and even have spaces with balconies for an outside view. These apartments have been renovated in 2004 and most recently in 2017 so you know they are always up to date with style and quality! There is an array of homes that come in and out of the housing market in Woodglen Vista. The median listing price for a home here is around the mid 500,000’s and can go up to the 700,000’s. The Woodglen Vista Park seems to be the centerpiece of the community. This area provides plenty of space for everyone to host events, play a pick up game, or take your dogs to mingle with the other neighborhood canines. The park is open from dawn to dusk allowing plenty of time for people to take advantage of their busy schedules. The park has a main Gazebo with six different sets of tables available under neath to use. It also provides barbecue grills, an open lawn, and even an area designated for Air Jumps for a birthday party or two. Sports wise, Woodglen Vista Park offers a nicely paved tennis and basketball court. A youth and adult baseball field. A multi-purpose sports field. And plenty of benches to observe some of the local talent while you enjoy some of the fresh air. Woodglen Vista is also home to the Santee Skatepark. The park is available for skateboarding, rollerblading, bikes, and even wheelchairs to hit the pavement. Make sure to wear the proper safety equipment because you cannot get in without a helmet! Lastly, the park offers an off-leash pet area for you and your dog to meet and play with others. The fence surrounding it provides protection so your pet can’t make a run for it either! The park also provides a path for residents and visitors to walk through for a nice, moderate stroll or exercise. Cajon Park is an elementary school that opened in the summer of 1980. The public school offers education from kindergarten to the eighth grade. With its prime location going to school is just a walk away, and a great way to avoid regular school traffic. The school is also a home for the local AYSO soccer league to play some of its games and it hosts a majority of practices as well. The oldest high school in Santee stands just at the base of Woodglen Vista. The Santana Sultans have called that area home since 1965. The purple, gold, and white reside just off the corner of Mast Boulevard and North Magnolia Avenue. The school averages around 1500 students per year, and the student to teacher ratio is about 29 to 1. The Sultans reside in the Grossmont Union High School District and are a rival to fellow West Hills High School. There, they alternately host the annual Mayor’s Cup, which originated as a football rivalry with the Wolfpack, but has recently expanded to rival in all sports. The victor of the rivalry is awarded the trophy by City Hall which resides north of the Santana campus in Woodglen Vista. City Hall hosts not only city council meetings and lots of important business events, but also often hosts lots of after school opportunities for the entire community like dances, fall festivals, and so much more. 😁Kimo Quance | The Kimo Quance Group | Realtor 🏘Keller Williams Realty San Diego, CA 💻https://www.greatersandiegohomesforsale.com/ ☎️619.324.5397 📺As Seen On HGTV's House Hunters (3X) ⚓️CG Veteran | Amazon Best Selling Author ✉️Kimo@TheQuanceGroup.com Instagram 📸@kimo_quance_619_324_5397 Linkedin 🖥https://www.linkedin.com/in/kimoquancerealestate/ Twitter 🐦@YourHouseGuy Buy my Book 📙https://amzn.to/2XXJ7s7 DRE
