The second brightest star in the constellation is Orion and making the hunter's right shoulder is Betelgeuse which has been an object of fascination ever since its discovery .The red supergiant star is destined to  go supernova but as of late has been displaying some rather odd behavior that has scientists and astronomers buzzing. They have now predicted that Betelgeuse is headed for a massive explosion in 2022!
