Mapua is a small town to the west of Nelson.  Just a 30-minute drive from the city, it is a charming seaside village.  It is becoming a favourite holiday spot for tourists and locals alike.  Mapua has a thriving wharf and commercial area but the area's population swells over the summer months. There is now a lively cluster of restaurants, art galleries and wine bars.
