http://cherylbrunette.com Here are two handsome slipped stitch edges good for scarves, cardigan bands, collars, etc. DIRECTIONS FOR THE "UNTWISTED" OR "OPEN" EDGE 1) Set up row: The end stitches should be knits on the right or public side of the piece. 2) RS (Right Side) Rows: Slip the first and last sts PURLwise with yarn in back of work. 3) WS (Wrong Side) Rows: Purl end sts and work the middle sts in your pattern. DIRECTIONS FOR THE "TWISTED" OR "BRAIDED" EDGE 1) Set up row: The end stitches should be knits on the right or public side of the piece. 2) RS (Right Side) Rows: Slip the first and last sts KNITwise with yarn in back of work. 3) WS (Wrong Side) Rows: Purl end sts and work the middle sts in your pattern.
