Chief Electoral Officer Shri Abhijit Sinha in a media briefing said: • Total electors for the Southern Angami 1 was 13,641 out of which 11,649 casted their votes. • Pungro Kiphire, total electorates were 29, 601 where 27, 471 casted their votes. • Counting of votes began by 8:30 am in the morning and ended around 3 to 3:30 pm. • For Pungro-Kiphire counting ended around 1:30 pm to 2pm. • Four rounds of counting was held in Kohima and 11 rounds in Kiphire. Final number. • Medo Yhokha NDPP- 4773, Peter Seyievilie Zashiimo Independent- 4175, Kikovi Kirha NPF 2575. Margin 598. • In Pungro-Kiphire, Yangseo Sangtam Independent - 8747, S.Kiusumew Independent - 7220, Lirimong Sangtam BJP- 5664, K.Shellumthong Yimchunger Independent - 5388, Khesao Anar Congress- 347.
