To go higher than 60, players need to use food buffs for the constitution or Gem Stones for any attribute. If you want to learn more about attributes check my video about this topic. In this video, I will specifically talk about gemstones, what are those, how to find them, and how to use them. Gem Stones are random drops from mining ores. They come in 4 tiers uncut from 1 to 4, then players will need to use stonecutting table to cut these gems and that will turn uncut gemstones into cut gemstones tier 2 to 5, basically uncut tier 1 gemstone becomes cut tier 2 and so on. There are many different gemstones, some will only increase one attribute, while other gemstones will impact 2 different attributes, but the bottom line here is that all tier 5 gemstones will give you in total +5 points to one or two attributes. Players will need any weapon or armor piece with a gem socket, you can find those all over the place or buy one. And of course, you can craft those, to increase your chance on crafting an item with a gem socket add more primary resources at crafting table, sadly even by adding the maximum amount of possible resources there is no guarantee that your crafted item will have a gem socket and as you already figured out then an item without gem socket is essentially robbing you from 5 attribute points, basically, items without gem sockets are at best average compared to items with gem sockets. Unlike 20-minute food buff, the gemstone effect is permanent, as long as you have that item equipped your attributes will be affected. And players of any level can use any level gemstones, unlike equipment itself which is locked behind the certain level, however, once gemstone is socketed it can't be taken out but only replaced by another gemstone, so using high tier gemstones on low-level equipment means that you lost that stone as soon as you are eligible to use higher-level armor. Don't waste high tier gems on low-level armor and weapons, unless you can easily afford that. Jewelry doesn't have gem sockets but, i.e., to craft jewelry that has +5 points of strength you will need the same Ruby gemstones that you could socket into your equipment. In total players have 5 armor pieces, 3 jewelry, 3 weapons, and a shield, so if you choose to boost just one attribute then by rising it to 60 with your attribute points you can add another 60 points and double it. But there is diminishing return from any attribute past 60, so it might be a much better idea to invest in other attributes and make your character more balanced overall but the choice is yours. Also, you can't go over 60 attribute points with your skill points though, you can only go over with gemstones and food. Now where to find and how to maximize your effort in acquiring gemstones – first and easiest – just visit the marketplace and buy any cut or uncut gemstone that you need. Second, gemstones drop from all ores, iron ore, which is tier 1 most likely will drop tier 1 uncut gems, starmetal tier 2 and orichalcum tier 3, all ores have a chance to drop highest tier uncut gems - tier 4 - but obviously highest tier ore has highest chance, so if you care only about tier 3-4 gemstones, then go and mine only orichalcum ore. On top of that, you can significantly increase this chance by having Miners Luck perk on all your armor pieces, this perk has 3 tiers - +2%, 3,5%, and 5%, so the maximum you can have +25% higher chance on finding rare items while mining from armor. And “rarer” item here means the item’s overall probability of appearing as a drop, so basically miners luck will increase tier gemstone drop chance. Then you can cook food and tier 5 meal for mining will provide an additional increase in the chance for rare drops for 20 minutes, on top of this all your tools can have up to 5% increased specific skill luck, i.e., pickaxe can have additional +5% Miners luck, same as armor, and finally, there is a Mining trophies that will grant a bonus when using a pickaxe. Trophies can be placed in each of your homes and you can have up to three houses so up to 3 trophies in total. Trophies are global and do stack together. By maxing this all out you should have a nice increase in rare item drops during mining and that should maximize your chances on getting gemstones as well as special crafting modifiers, used to craft items with specific perks, pretty neat.
