It is Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is Supreme God, one of Trinity of Supreme Gods, as explained in Hindu Mythology. Shri Shiva Mandir was founded by the community in 1991. It is non-profit organization to serve the religious/spiritual, and educational needs of the community. It is located on five acres block of land at 201 Eagleview Road, Minto (Sydney) NSW. It is supported by devotees hailing from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Fiji, South Africa and several other countries. Mandir is open daily from 8:00am-12:00 noon, and then 4:00pm-8:00pm during weekdays, 8:00am-8:00pm on weekends/public holidays. Daily rituals such as Abhishek, Aartietc are performed in the mornings and evenings. It employs qualified and experienced priests to provide all types of religious/spiritual services as per the scriptures, at the Mandir as well as at devotees homes. From time to time Mandir invites religious/spiritual leaders from overseas for the spiritual benefits of the community. This Temple is newly constructed at far outskirt of Sydney at Minto suburb. Having a very big land plot on disposal, this Temple is situated at top of a small hillock from where surrounding scenery is also seen lovely. Temple is architecturally constructed with many a deities of Hindu Gods with sanctum sanctorum having Shiva Lingam as Chief Deity. Very near to Minto Station at about half an hour walk. No public transport direct goes to temple. So, from Minto Station to temple, move on either own vehicle or take taxi. Best is on-foot from Minto Railway Station .
