The Mladi Glas and Planika Slovenian Folk Dance Group performing at the Concordia Club in the Main Hall during Oktoberfest in Kitchener (formerly Berlin), Ontario. Mladi Glas was founded in 1974 in Toronto, and the youth dance group Planika was founded in 1979. In 2019 it was their 45th anniversary. It is open year-round with a traditional German restaurant and the Main Hall. The Concordia Club has a famous folk-dancing group - the Concordia Enzian Schuhplattlers, as well as many other activities for its members. During Oktoberfest a huge tent is set up in the parking lot for the celebration. The Concordia Club originally started the Oktoberfest celebration tradition in Kitchener-Berlin on the Canadian Centennial in 1967 as a 4 day festival and charity event. Due to its popularity it turned into an annual tradition and was expanded to the whole city and to include all of the German clubs and other venues as well. https://www.concordiaclub.ca/
