Nyssa grew up in a household where hard drug use was normalised. The way we think about addiction is changing. It is easy to blame addiction on the addict but we're learning that the issue is far more complex. ▼see below for links and more▼ In this interview Nyssa and I discuss her battles growing up in a family of drug addicts. Both of her parents contracted Hepatitis C. Her mother introduced crystal meth to her and her brother shortly after her father died due to liver failure. Her mother and her brother have both had multiple admissions to psychiatric units. People don't abuse dangerous drugs for no reason. We need to help the drug addicted too.
