Legendary Texan musician and visual artist Terry Allen describes the overseas journey that lead him to his decade long and many faceted body of work "Youth in Asia" (1982-92). In this body of work Allen addresses the aftermath of the Vietnam War through mixed-media drawings, sculptures, poetry, installations, a radio play "Torso Hell" (aired on KXLU Los Angeles in 1986) and a music album "Amerasia" (1987). Produced in conjunction with the exhibition "Terry Allen: The Exact Moment It Happens in the West (Stories, Pictures and Songs from the '60s 'Til Now)," on view at L.A.
