LAFD's video: LAFD: Firefighters Battle Flames in County of L A High Rise Office Building March 8 2023

HISTORIC SOUTH CENTRAL - The Los Angeles Fire Department battled a Major Emergency Structure Fire south of downtown Los Angeles early Wednesday morning, extinguishing flames in less than an hour. The fire at 2615 South Grand Avenue was reported at 3:58 AM on March 8, 2023, bringing more than 160 LAFD Firefighters under the command of Assistant Chief Dean Zipperman to battle heavy fire on the sixth floor of a large six story office building of concrete construction, containing various County of Los Angeles offices. Two LAFD Firefighters suffered smoke inhalation during the fierce firefight, and were treated at the scene. The fire was extinguished at 4:57 AM. No civilian injuries were reported. The fire's cause remains the focus of an active Los Angeles Fire Department investigation.
