CULTURE EXPOSED 's video: Lion King

Someone has to be the tiger king. This morning as they all sat and looked out from the den door, King showed his siblings that he has no fear. His action was the first for all of them. As Khan, Nina, and Charlotte squawked, squeaked, and worried about him leaving the den all by himself, their commotion aroused Ginger who was a little bit surprised and a little bit worried. But from the top of Ginger's surveillance platform, a couple quick peeks out into the big enclosure assured her that Jona was no where to be found, and so the King was safe to explore his expanding kingdom. King checked the parameter of the new area and occasionally let out a little roar. He also checked out a steel water tank that's on it's side which will act as a secondary place of shelter for the foursome. After getting a cold wet nose, he used his tongue to take a drink out of the water bowl for the first time. The smell of venison which has only been on his mother breath was worth a deep whiff. That was a lot of stimulation in a little while. Then it was back in the den to nurse. The cubs are still gaining weigh every day. Ginger is still doing all the feeding and keeping these tiger cubs the cleanest. Todays weigh-in: Nina 9 pounds 2 ounces, Charlotte 10 pounds 5 ounces, Khan 10 pounds 13 ounces, and King 10 pounds 3 ounces. This was the first day that I allowed Ginger to watch me take the cubs out of the den, weigh them, and place them one by one back to her care.. She was perfectly relaxed and watched with interest.
