LDIvideo's video: Rebekah Gee on Health Care Policy

Noting that hers is the 49th sickest state in the nation, Louisiana Secretary of Health Rebekah Gee, MD, launched into a spirited presentation of the major issues and impediments to improving the health of such a population. Gee, a former University of Pennsylvania RWJF Clinical Scholar, called for an end to the political "tilting at windmills" approach to health care policy formulation and a new national embrace of the crucial changes needed to address the full dimensions of U.S health care delivery needs as well as the long-term fiscal stability of the country. She spoke at Penn's Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics 50th Anniversary Symposium that brought together experts from around the country to discuss the future of health care.
