The Motor Show - Boosting the automotive industry in Sri Lanka and touching the future of the automotive industry 🔴 Live Update Colombo Motor Show 2023 Motor show exhibition at BMICH Motor show exhibition at BMICH A motor show exhibition is underway today at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) by the Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC). The exhibition will be held until Sunday (30) Automobile Association main sponsors at 'Motor Show 2023' ‘Motor Show 2023’ was organized by Mas Exhibition and Convention and was held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), from April 28-30. The Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) was the main sponsor for this event. There were over forty stalls which exhibited the Vintage and Classic Cars and Motor Cycles. The newly manufactured Sri Lankan made Motor Cycles manufactured by Richard Peiris and Company was also on display. The opening ceremony of the Show was held on April 28 and was opened by Ananda Dangalla, Senior Vice President and Vice Chairman in the presence of Keerthi Gunawardena, Vice President and Devapriya Hettiarachchi, the Secretary of the Association and Palitha Sirimanna, Chief Engineer and Deputy Director of the BMICH. The AAC was provided with two stalls at the show, where interested persons could have enrolled as members of the Association Members and purchased the AAC badges and obtained International Driving Permits. International Motor Show 2023 The show, which showcases more than 300 cars from the world's finest collections and attracted more than 80,000 attendees in 2018, offers a complete experience for visitors. The overall show was rated as excellent and good by 98% of visitors. Colombo Motor Show is the largest auto show in Sri Lanka. The Colombo Motor Show has become the largest and most influential automotive event in the Sri Lankan region, bringing together key buyers, global manufacturers, distributors and industry experts, as well as wealthy motor enthusiasts. Dilantha has won the GT3 Asia Championship and Triple Malaysia Super Car GT Champion. Dilantha is the first Sri Lankan to ever win an International Motor Racing Championship, winning the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals title in Monza Racing track, Italy in 2017. Experienced single-seater and sports car drivers who was the first Asian non-Japanese driver to compete in Formula Nippon, Japan GT500 and GT300. Also won the N1 Championship and the Tokachi 24-hour race three times. He has done 24 endurance races all over the world, including USA and Dubai. In Australia he finished 2nd overall in the 24 Hour Bathurst Race. He has achieved over 150 podiums in international races and more than 200 in local races.
