LIGHT HOUSE ODISHA's video: Symposium on Contextual Issues plaguing Odia Cinema

Despite the technological advancements, better learning opportunities Odia cinema is not what it used to be. The quality of cinema in Odisha has gone down the drain. Realizing this, a symposium on “Contextual Issues plaguing Odia Cinema” has been organised by Lighthouse to identify the issues prevailing in Odia cinema. Held on 16th August, 2017 at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar, the symposium is proved helpful in addressing the issues and suggested steps to bring about a change in current trend of Odia cinema. The panelists of the symposium included veteran filmmaker Raj Gopal Mishra, veteran journalist Sampad Mahapatra and independent filmmaker Amartya Bhattacharyya who shared their views regarding the issues and their experience in the industry.
