His ancestors blessed him with a musical talent enabling the continuity of creating beautiful music. This has made him into a prolific and multi-talented music producer,composer and audio engineer . He spent his childhood surrounded by world music. His home was a melting pot of art and culture. He was born in 1993 to a renowned classical dancer mother and photographer flautist father. The synthesiser was his instrument of choice and he created his own electronic compositions from an early age . Aastik set up his first home recording studio when he was 16 years old. He recorded live musicians for his mother’s dance practice and several jam sessions arranged by his flautist father at his home. Several of these musicians were performing artists of international acclaim who encouraged and motivated Aastik to pursue his passion in music composing and recording. . Their advise gave him invaluable nuggets of wisdom which motivated his musical interests. He went on to explore and discover different genres ranging from electronica to psychedelic , jazz , classical,ambient and other experimental styles. He graduated with a degree in Sound Engineering from SAE and opened the doors of his music company Turquoise Sound Pvt.Ltd (TSC) in 2015 after moving to Goa,India. TSC was created to release electronic music produced and composed by Aastik in chill out, ambient and lounge with touches of ethnic influences and jazz . He now collaborates with numerous international musicians, producers and artists on his multiple projects from his TSC studio housed on an eclectic organic farm in north Goa. Aastik’s music is influenced by nature and his ideology is based on working towards a new organic life. In 2017 TSC released Aastik’s album Audiolounge - 1.0. In 2017 Aastik created Blue Magic Records (BMR), a sub-label to Turquoise Sound Pvt.Ltd.(TSC) an electronic, experimental and chill out label, focusing on more free-form and unconventional as well as jazz/fusion and eccentric styles of music. All the releases on Blue Magic Records are created by classical, jazz and electronic musicians in cooperation with an ambient musician. The ambient audience is introduced to new sounds of music with an unconventional approach.
