LOEWE's video: CASA LOEWE Barcelona bamboo installation

CASA LOEWE BARCELONA re-opens featuring a large-scale site-specific sculpture built from bamboo by Japanese artist Tanabe Chikuunsai. Working with bamboo indigenous to one area of Japan, Chikuunsai uses a scalpel to divide it into strips of varying sizes and then weaves it together to create large-scale structures. Following eco-sustainable practices, Chikuunsai recovers bamboo after exhibitions and reuses them for future projects. The installation furthers LOEWE’s commitment to creating spaces that share our extensive anthology of art and design.
