The concert was hold at the Royal Academy "San Fernando" of Fine Arts, Madrid, January 15, 2016. “Chi sa, chi sa qual sia” from opera "Il burbero di buon cuore". The Premiere in 1786 of the first opera, result of collaboration between Martín y Soler and Lorenzo Da Ponte, Il burbero di buon cuore, marked the starting signal for the Viennese operas trilogy that enabled the Spaniard to reach international stardom. The public’s admiration for this opera as for Una cosa rara and L’arbore di Diana (1787), led to the permanence of the operas in the theatrical repertoire of the city even after Martín y Soler’s departure to Russia. And as was the fashion at the time, some of their arias got substituted by new ones. Such is the case with the aria “Chi sa, chi sa qual sia”, commissioned by Louise Villeneuve to W. A. Mozart in 1789 as to replace Martín y Soler’s original aria. Inserted in Act I, Lucilla has increasing concerns about her husband Giocondo and the destiny of Angelica, the husband’s sister, and the later’s lover Valerio. This aria combines so many serious tastes such as mezzo carattere (Aria of Half Character), through which Mozart tried to provide the character with a more dramatic and heroic temperament. Its graceful accompaniment and the simplicity of its start contrast with the sforzando-piano contrasts, concluded with an emphatic coda that bestows on them a passionate character, on the style of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. -ESPAÑOL- La orquesta de instrumentos de época La Madrileña interpreta “Chi sa, chi sa qual sia” Aria de Lucilla compuesta por Mozart para la ópera de Vicente Martín y Soler "Il burbero di buon cuore" con la soprano Susana Cordón bajo la dirección musical de José Antonio Montaño el 15 de enero de 2016 en el concierto celebrado en la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando en Madrid. “Chi sa, chi sa qual sia” de la ópera "Il burbero di buon cuore". El estreno en 1786 de la primera ópera fruto de la colaboración entre Martín y Soler y Lorenzo Da Ponte, Il burbero di buon cuore, marcó el pistoletazo de salida para la trilogía de óperas vienesas que llevaron al español al estrellato internacional. La admiración del público por esta ópera así como por Una cosa rara y L’arbore di Diana (1787), condujo a que, ya tras la partida de Martín y Soler a Rusia, continuaran en el repertorio teatral de la ciudad. Y de acuerdo con las modas del momento, algunas de sus arias se fueron sustituyendo por otras nuevas. Tal es el caso del aria “Chi sa, chi sa qual sia”, encargada por Louise Villeneuve a W. A. Mozart en 1789 como reemplazo al aria original de Martín y Soler. Inserta en el Acto I, Lucilla desarrolla sus inquietudes sobre su esposo Giocondo y el destino de Angelica, la hermana de éste y su enamorado Valerio. Esta aria combina tanto gestos serios como de mezzo carattere, a través de lo cual Mozart trató a dotar a este personaje de un carácter más dramático y heroico. Su grácil acompañamiento y la simplicidad de su inicio contrastan con los contrastes sforzando-piano, rematados por una enfática coda, que le otorgan un carácter apasionado, a la manera de la Donna Elvira de Don Giovanni.
