This capture is from last month's performance/motivational speech at the semester one orientation at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. You can't tell from this video, but on the inside, I was panicking during the moment the Capoeira instrument, a berimbau, broke! I kept it together and continued singing, despite wanting to sit down and start over. I knew that I had a job to do. These students needed to hear something to inspire them at the start of their medical education. I tapped into something intangible, and this performance representing the critical tool of creativity in enhancing your ability to learn was the result.
